Please reach me at joseluna@lunanovatherapy.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The first session focuses on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We will discuss your goals, current concerns, and any relevant background information. This session also provides an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether the therapeutic approach feels like a good fit.
At this time, I do not offer consultation calls. The first session serves as a space for us to explore your needs and determine fit.

EMDR-informed therapy incorporates principles and techniques from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients better understand and process trauma, anxiety, emotional stress, and difficult life experiences.
This approach may include grounding techniques, nervous system regulation, emotional processing, attachment-focused work, and other trauma-informed strategies designed to help clients feel more supported, safe, and emotionally connected throughout the healing process.
At Luna Nova Therapy, EMDR-informed care is integrated within a compassionate and supportive therapeutic environment tailored to each client’s unique needs and experiences.
Attachment-based therapy focuses on how early relationships and emotional experiences can shape the way we connect with ourselves and others throughout life. Experiences involving trust, safety, support, rejection, or emotional inconsistency can influence patterns in relationships, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and stress responses.
This therapeutic approach helps clients better understand these patterns while building healthier ways of relating, communicating, coping, and feeling emotionally connected.
At Luna Nova Therapy, attachment-based work is approached with compassion, collaboration, and emotional safety to support healing, self-awareness, and meaningful personal growth.
Therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand the emotional, relational, and life experiences that may contribute to unhealthy coping behaviors, substance use, or patterns of emotional avoidance.
At Luna Nova Therapy, treatment is approached with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment. Therapy may focus on identifying triggers, strengthening emotional regulation, improving self-awareness, building healthier coping strategies, and exploring underlying experiences such as stress, trauma, anxiety, or relationship difficulties.
Healing is not about shame or perfection — it is about developing insight, support, and healthier ways of coping and connecting.
